Being a gluten-free vegan

In episode #58, we discuss everything to do with being a gluten-free vegan. Neither of us suffers from a gluten allergy but we do have friends that have this health issue. This episode will help vegans that recently found out they have a gluten allergy and are struggling to find the best foods for their body.

Gluten is a protein naturally found in some grains including wheat, barley, and rye. It can reek havoc on those that have a gluten allergy. In this episode, we discuss what foods to avoid as a gluten-free vegan and what foods to devour. We even mention some specific products that are vegan and gluten-free.

If you have celiac disease, consuming gluten can damage the lining of your small intestine and affect nutrient absorption. It can be painful and frustrating trying to avoid gluten. We hope this episode teaches you which gluten-free vegan foods will keep your belly happy and avoid the debilitating effects of gluten. If you’re on a plant-based diet, you can also be gluten-free.
