About Us

Welcome! The Average Vegans podcast is hosted by two best friends – Meg and David – and focuses on living an attainable vegan lifestyle. This podcast was created to eliminate the perceived pressure to become some ripped, influencer type vegan that does Iron Man competitions for breakfast and eats raw veggies straight from their organic garden. Instead, The Average Vegan Podcast will explore different ways you can incorporate vegan options into your everyday life from which vegan cheese is the best for a grilled cheese sandwich to how to handle the protein question. This podcast will cover it all!

If you think you’d enjoy listening to some regular people talk about living in the south, eating plants, loving animals, and finding the easiest way to live a cruelty-free life, The Average Vegan Podcast is for you. Meg and David aren’t elite athletes or angry vegans but instead, they’re just some average folks trying to live a cruelty-free, vegan life and hoping to help others find their own path. Vegans, vegetarians, and anyone interested in living a plant-based life, this podcast was created for you to entertain you while also teaching you how to create your own version of the average vegan lifestyle.

New episodes will be released every Wednesday covering a wide variety of vegan topics from which plant-based cheese doesn’t suck to how to answer the inevitable questions every vegan encounters. Listen on iTunes, Stitcher, Pocketcast, or anywhere else you get your podcast fix.

Met the Vegans

Meg – When she isn’t working as a Marketing Director, Meg is a mom of two teenage daughters and a wife of 20 years to a non-vegan husband. Born and raised in south Florida, Meg doesn’t consider herself southern but she has lived in Georgia for over 15 years. Not afraid to admit it, Meg is also a hard core true crime addict! She’s totally down to learn more about a serial killer but she draws the line at harming animals. When she isn’t painting, Meg is searching through her vegan cookbooks for a new recipe to try, working on a novel she’s been writing for more years than she cares to admit, or swaying in her hammock for far too long. Having been vegan for over 5 years now, living a cruelty-free, plant-based life isn’t just about food for Meg. It encompasses her entire life and she couldn’t imagine living any other way.

David – A Georgia-native, David spends most of his time working as a Software Engineer and every spare moment taking care of his plethora of fur kids – 3 cats and 1 dog! He’s a self-diagnosed workaholic that won’t stop until the job is done perfectly. Which comes in handy when you’re recording a podcast. When he does take a break, it usually involves his Switch and a little Animal Crossing or expressing himself by creating highly analytical drawings. A meal prep pro, David lives a more health-focused life spending his Sundays meal prepping and his evenings working out at home or in the gym. Having been vegan for 8 years now, David has developed a strange knack for influencing others to join the plant-based, vegan lifestyle. Hence, the start of this podcast..and the start of this friendship (Listen to Episode 1 to learn more!).
